Timing of critical events in the PICU among English and LOE patients
摘要
Impact statement
Children from Spanish-speaking families experience disproportionately more critical events overnight in the PICU. Overnight critical events among LOE patients were less likely to be associated with an interpretation event than daytime events. Our study highlights the need for robust access to interpreter services in the PICU, especially overnight, to avoid exacerbating already significant disparities in rates of critical events among LOE patients.
