<p>Plum-green celadon is a quintessential example of Longquan kiln celadon varieties. This study explored the color characteristics of plum-green celadon by analyzing 19 glaze samples via various techniques, including colorimeter, XRF, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and SEM/EDS. The results showed that the firing temperature of the Southern Song specimens was lower than that of the Yuan Dynasty specimens. Furthermore, phase-separated droplets within the glaze layers of specimens from both dynasties contributed to a Rayleigh scattering effect, which in turn subtly influenced the overall glaze color. The glaze coloration of Longquan plum-green celadon from the Southern Song and Yuan dynasties was the result of the interaction of chemical and physical factors.</p>
