摘要

Ultrawideband frequency-modulated continuous-wave (UWB-FMCW) radar is a solution for through-the-wall (TTW) imaging and detection technology. TTW radar is an attractive UWB microwave imaging system that comprises radars capable of localizing and monitoring humans in hazardous locations or under unfavorable conditions. This study presents a novel approach for simulating the RF front-end transceiver of a UWB-FMCW radar system. The proposed methodology is implemented on a 9 GHz FMCW radar, utilizing a single antenna for both transmission and reception. The simulation model proposed in the paper is shown to be a valuable tool for designing UWB-FMCW through-wall imaging radar systems.
