<p>In this survey we discuss the Poincaré Conjecture and the main ingredients of its proof. Moreover, we also describe its connection with Thurston’s Geometrization program and present some applications. Finally, we discuss some open problems related to the conjecture and future perspectives of new applications.</p>

摘要

In this survey we discuss the Poincaré Conjecture and the main ingredients of its proof. Moreover, we also describe its connection with Thurston’s Geometrization program and present some applications. Finally, we discuss some open problems related to the conjecture and future perspectives of new applications.
