<p>This report discusses a case involving the successful laparoscopic resection of a benign schwannoma located in the retroperitoneum. The patient, a 61-year-old male, presented with intermittent groin pain. Imaging studies, including computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, indicated a solid tumor positioned behind the inferior vena cava (IVC). The tumor was successfully removed via laparoscopic technique, with pathology confirming it as a benign schwannoma. The patient’s postoperative recovery was smooth, and he was discharged on the third day following surgery without any complications. This case highlights the rarity of retroperitoneal schwannomas, particularly those situated retrocaval, and demonstrates that laparoscopic resection is a viable option even when the tumor is located behind the IVC.</p>
