Introduction <p>The incidence of measles cases among children aged 6–23&#xa0;months in Mozambique's five regions ranged from 43.3% in Zambezia to 70.8% in Niassa in 2020. Grouping communities with poor measles vaccine coverage can help strengthen elimination campaigns and direct further immunization efforts. Determining the reasons behind the low vaccination rate is essential to developing workable intervention strategies to increase immunization rates and reduce measles-related deaths among infants. This study aimed to examine the geographical distribution of Measles-containing vaccine coverage and related factors among children in Mozambique between the ages of 12 and 23&#xa0;months using nationally representative data.</p> Method <p>The study used a cross-sectional design with a two-stage stratified sampling technique. The analysis was conducted using the following software: ArcGIS 10.8, STATA 14.2, and SaTScan version 9.6. The researchers used multilevel logistic regression to pinpoint significant variables linked to measles immunization.</p> Result <p>In Mozambique, the magnitude of MCV1 was 49.7%. Across the research region, there was a variance in the geographical coverage of MCV1. The key clusters with poor MCV1 vaccination that are most likely relevant were found in Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Zambézia, Tete, and certain areas of Manica and Sofala region. The MCV1 vaccine was substantially associated with maternal primary education level, secondary and above school education level, Zion religion, health facility delivery, and middle-class and upper-class wealth level.</p> Conclusion <p>Overall, Mozambique's MCV1 coverage rate was low. Not only was there little coverage, but the country was diverse regionally. Priority should be given to areas with poor MCV1 coverage to boost vaccination efforts and lower the measles outbreak statewide.</p>
