摘要

Norepinephrine (NE), a critical neurotransmitter and hormone, profoundly influences cardiovascular function and stress response. However, inherent pharmacokinetic challenges, notably rapid enzymatic degradation and a short half-life, mandate continuous intravenous infusion for sustained therapeutic effects. This review addresses these limitations by detailing the evolution of NE delivery, moving beyond conventional IV methods to embrace advanced pharmaceutical formulations and intelligent systems. We comprehensively examine novel strategies, including nanocarriers, sustained-release technologies, implantable infusion pumps, closed-loop systems, remote monitoring, and prodrug approaches. These innovations, substantiated by recent patents and clinical studies, aim to enhance NE efficacy, improve stability for ready-to-use preparations, and simplify administration. By integrating insights from cutting-edge pharmaceutical advancements and clinical research, this review offers formulation scientists, pharmaceutical researchers, and clinicians a thorough understanding of current strategies and future directions in NE delivery, ultimately seeking to optimize patient outcomes and address unmet medical needs.
