Introduction <p><i>Morus alba</i><i>&#xa0;L</i>. is a medium-sized tree or shrub with a straight, cylindrical trunk that grows quickly. Fruits, leaves, branches, roots, and entire plants are all used medicinally. This review aims to provide an updated insight into the taxonomy, phytochemistry, traditional uses, isolation, pharmacological activity, nutritional aspect and toxicology of <i>Morus alba</i> <i>L</i>.&#xa0;to evaluate its current value and potential for future research.</p> Methods <p>To find pertinent information on the phytochemical components, pharmacological properties, and mode of action of <i>Morus alba</i>, searches were conducted using PubMed, SpringerLink, Science Direct, Wiley Online, Scopus, and Web of Science.</p> Result <p>A descriptive study of the selected findings about the taxonomy, phytochemistry, pharmacological, and toxicological profile of <i>Morus alba</i> <i>L.&#xa0;</i>was done following PRISMA criteria and was presented in a narrative summary, and scientific findings was incorporated.</p> Conclusion <p>This review can widen the understanding regarding <i>Morus alba&#xa0;L</i>, supported by relevant evidence and highlight its prospects for further research.</p>

Introduction

Morus alba L. is a medium-sized tree or shrub with a straight, cylindrical trunk that grows quickly. Fruits, leaves, branches, roots, and entire plants are all used medicinally. This review aims to provide an updated insight into the taxonomy, phytochemistry, traditional uses, isolation, pharmacological activity, nutritional aspect and toxicology of Morus alba L. to evaluate its current value and potential for future research.

Methods
