N-methyldiethanolaminate complexes of titanium (IV): synthesis, reactions and spectral analysis
摘要
[(PriO)2Ti(mdea)] 1 complex synthesized by the equimolar reaction of Ti(OPri)4 and N-methydiethanolamine (mdeaH2) in benzene. Reaction of [(PriO)2Ti(mdea)] 1 with monofunctional bidentate ligands (LH) in benzene give titanium (IV) complexes of the types [(PriO)Ti(mdea)(L)] and [(mdea)Ti(L)2]. (where L = deprotonated monofunctional bidentate ligands i.e. acetylacetone (acacH) 2–3, salicylidene-2-aminopyridine (sapH) 4–5 and salicylidene-4-methyl-1-aminobenzene (p-smabH) 6–7 ethanolamine (eaH) 8–9. The elemental analyses, infrared, NMR (1H, 13C), and mass spectroscopy have been used to characterise the novel titanium(IV) complexes 1–9.
