<p>In this work, we describe a new protocol to the synthesis of 4-organoselenylisoxazoles using an oxidant system. This transition metal-free method explores the reaction between 1,3-diarylprop-2-yn-1-one <i>O</i>-methyloximes and diorganoyl diselenides in ethanol as solvent, in the presence of Oxone<sup>®</sup> as oxidant at 100&#xa0;°C. A total of thirteen compounds was prepared, including two so far unpublished molecules, in yields ranging from 42 to 99%. Furthermore, some control experiments and a scale-up study were performed, to demonstrate the usefulness of this methodology.</p>
