Study on the cultivation and potential medicinal value of the newly recorded Eulophia graminea Lindley from Fujian species

This experiment focused on the newly discovered wild Eulophia graminea in Fujian, conducting in vitro culture of multiple plant tissues to ensure the potential for large-scale application of this species. The active components measured in the pseudobulb of this newly recorded species included total triterpenoids, total flavonoids, total polysaccharides, and total sterols. The study indicated that the newly recorded species of Eulophia graminea could produce cluster buds and sterile buds through tissue culture. The average content of triterpenoids was 2 mg g⁻1, flavonoids averaged 0.018 mg mL⁻1, polysaccharides averaged 11.75%, and sterols averaged 9.14 mg g⁻1. The relatively high levels of these four active substances demonstrate that the newly discovered Eulophia graminea possesses certain medicinal value.
