<p>An investigation was carried out to evaluate the seasonal influence viz., winter, summer, and rainy seasons on the biology of <i>Callosobruchus maculatus</i> (F.) in chickpeas under the laboratory conditions. Two different cultivars of chickpea viz., Desi and Kabuli were used to assess the various biological parameters. The experiment was set up with five replications in completely randomized block design (CRD). The highest fecundity was observed in the rainy season in Kabuli as 70.56 eggs per female and 60.88 eggs per female in Desi cultivar. Female longevity exceeded male longevity across all seasons and cultivars. In winter season, females lived for 19.76&#xa0;days in Desi cultivar compared to 17.36&#xa0;days for males, and 19.81&#xa0;days in Kabuli versus 16.84&#xa0;days for males. In the rainy season, females lived 10.61&#xa0;days in Desi and 9.76&#xa0;days in Kabuli, while male longevity was 9.62&#xa0;days in Desi and 7.52&#xa0;days in Kabuli cultivar. During summer, females had lifespan of 8.60&#xa0;days in Desi and 8.20&#xa0;days in Kabuli cultivar, in contrast to males’ average of 6.88&#xa0;days in Desi and 6.36&#xa0;days in Kabuli. The life cycle duration of <i>C. maculatus</i> was found to be 64.12&#xa0;days in the winter, 36.32&#xa0;days in the summer, and 38.93&#xa0;days in the rainy season for the Desi cultivar, whereas it was 58.54&#xa0;days in the winter, 33.56&#xa0;days in the summer, and 33.52&#xa0;days in the rainy season for the Kabuli cultivar.</p>
