<p>The constant evolution of human settlements has shaped cities through changing lifestyles, urban demands, technology, and environmental concerns. This transformation has left marks on the urban fabric, impacting a city’s core cultural, social, and economic values. As cities expand, new gaps in the built environment are created, leaving abandoned territories such as unused industries, historical sites, quarries, transportation hubs, and townships. These areas, often viewed as neglected or redundant, contribute to urban decay and exacerbate issues like land scarcity and high real estate prices. Given these challenges, the revitalization of abandoned spaces is critical for accommodating the growing demands of urbanization. In the context of urban regeneration, revitalization refers to the adaptive reuse of underutilized buildings and spaces, shifting their functions to meet current and future needs. This study explores the potential of such adaptive reuse, proposing that these forgotten territories can significantly enhance the urban framework by fostering economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Through a design-based approach, this research examines how abandoned spaces, particularly industrial sites like textile mills, can be repurposed into multifunctional areas that integrate cultural, social, and economic functions. The revitalization of these sites not only preserves the architectural integrity and historical significance of the buildings but also provides opportunities for new urban experiences that align with the needs of local communities. The research findings demonstrate that adaptive reuse can transform these neglected spaces into vibrant, sustainable areas, including cultural hubs, mixed-use developments, and green spaces. This process encourages resource efficiency, reduces the need for new construction, and minimizes waste. By blending community needs with environmental priorities, revitalizing abandoned territories offers long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits. This study contributes to the theoretical discourse on urban regeneration by providing a practical model for revitalizing abandoned territories and integrating them into the urban fabric.</p>
