摘要

Injuries of the calf muscles, also known as “tennis leg”, are generally injuries of those who practice sports activity, but it is also possible to be diagnosed in patients during their everyday activities. The aim of our article is to collect information on the dynamics of trauma, clinical presentation, and treatment published in the literature, focusing in particular on radiological diagnosis, primarily using ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This review aims to provide a comprehensive, imaging-focused resource for radiologists and clinicians involved in the diagnosis and management of these common injuries.
