摘要

This study introduces a novel framework that embeds Radio Frequency (RF) interference assessment into Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis for mobile telecommunications. Nigeria’s rapid wireless network growth has intensified RF interference, affecting network performance. The proposed approach integrates drive tests, stationary measurements, and network monitoring tools to assess both interference and performance. Results show that KPI parameters generally met Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) standards. MTN provided the strongest signal at -65.20 dBm, followed by Glo at -75.50 dBm and Airtel at -80.10 dBm. Several degradation factors were also identified. To address these, optimization strategies such as antenna azimuth adjustment and broadcast control channel reconfiguration are recommended. Embedding RFI assessment into KPI analysis improves interference detection and strengthens service quality. It also advances methods for RF interference management and communication performance optimization in Nigeria.
