<p>The study explored how digital platforms are used to enhance social work practice in Harare, Zimbabwe, focusing on the local non-governmental organisation We Act for Her (WAFH), which focuses on community development and child protection. The study aimed to analyse the role of digital platforms in improving social work practices in lower-middle-income countries, specifically in the context of Zimbabwe. Through qualitative data collected via in-depth interviews and key informant interviews, the research findings indicate that social workers at WAFH utilise a variety of digital platforms in their daily interventions. These digital tools are efficient, transparent, save time, and allow social workers to multitask more effectively. The study revealed that different digital platforms, such as Last Mobile Solution (LMMS), electronic voucher systems, e-social, and case tracking systems, are used for communication purposes within the organisation and beyond. Digitalisation has made communication easier and quicker. Effective case management is also facilitated through digitalisation, meaning using digital technologies such as online systems, software, and digital tools helps improve how cases are managed. The study found that social workers at WAFH utilise case tracking systems to effectively monitor on their cases, check on clients, and assess intervention strategies. Additionally, cloud-based video conferencing and social media platforms are used as effective tools to convey important information to clients quickly and reach a wider audience, which is beneficial for awareness-raising initiatives. The findings indicate that digitalisation has the potential to facilitate effective case management, although further research is needed to assess its impact fully. The study emphasises the crucial role of digital platforms in social work practice and advocates for the support and introduction of digital platforms in both government and non-governmental social work settings.</p>
