<p>This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to examine the evolving research landscape on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and environmental sustainability. Analyzing 212 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2012 and 2024, we identify key research trends, influential authors, leading institutions, and significant gaps in literature. Despite the growing attention to sustainability, findings reveal regional disparities in FDI’s environmental impact, with developing economies facing sustainability challenges, while developed nations integrate green investment strategies. The study underscores the increasing role of environmental transparency, technological innovation, and policy incentives in shaping FDI flows. Our analysis highlights the need for more interdisciplinary research and enhanced collaboration among scholars and policymakers to bridge existing gaps. These insights offer valuable direction for future research on sustainable investment trends and regulatory frameworks.</p>
