<p>The Mediterranean coast of Morocco is increasingly affected by various anthropogenic activities and industrial growth, raising concerns about potential heavy metal contamination in the surrounding marine ecosystem. This study aimed to evaluate the extent of heavy metal pollution of in Surface Waters at main River Mouths along the Mediterranean coast by conducting sampling at 14 different stations. Heavy metal concentrations were analyzed. In addition, several physicochemical parameters, including temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, salinity, sulfates, and chlorides, were measured to better evaluate water quality. The measured concentrations of the selected metals varied from 0.614 to 2.24&#xa0;mg/L for Pt, 24 to 440&#xa0;mg/L for Fe, 0.012 to 0.096&#xa0;mg/L for Pb, 0.26 to 0.32&#xa0;mg/L for Al, and Zn concentrations remained below detection or within low ranges. Electrical conductivity values in surface seawater varied between 1.113 and 46 mS/cm, while salinity varied from 0.687 to 36.8&#xa0;g/L. The findings show that the physicochemical parameters and heavy metal concentrations are likely influenced by anthropogenic sources, such as industrial discharges, wastewater releases, and desalination plant activities in the area. Overall, this study provides baseline data on heavy metal distribution in the studied coastal area and highlights the need for continuous monitoring to better understand potential environmental impacts.</p>
