Forschung & Nachwuchs für die Hausarztpraxis – Teil 4: Forschung(skultur) bei Ärzt:innen in Weiterbildung
摘要
In order to counter the shortage of physicians in general practice, it is essential to further increase its attractiveness. This can also be achieved by emphasizing scientific work and research options in practice. The final part 4 of the series on “Research and workforce development for general practice” deals with the different ways to actively participate in research as well as barriers and motivating factors for the active research participation of physicians in further training. The presentations are based on discussions at the 2023 German Congress for General Practice and Family Medicine (DEGAM) and on the results of a research symposium organized by the Initiative of German Practice-Based Research Networks (DESAM-ForNet). The focus is on two key aspects: a) A scientific identity as part of the individual’s understanding of their role as a physician. This includes the combination of care, research/evidence, and lifelong learning as well as the transfer of knowledge. b) Evidence-based medical care also includes the constant expansion of scientific knowledge. Research “from practice for practice” contributes to better care. This principle as a positive basic attitude or general “research culture” can help to keep the discipline of general practice up-to-date, connected, and ultimately attractive to younger physicians. Physicians in further training (ÄiW) can become involved in research projects in an “academic home” and receive further training in evidence-based medicine. The German competence centers for general practice are of particular importance here.
