摘要

Family medicine as an integral part of general medicine is based on the biopsychosocial model of health and disease. With the establishment of systemic (family) therapy in Germany in the secondary care system, the question arises of how future primary care can benefit. Family medicine in primary care has been a neglected area of research in Germany; however, a working definition and several basic studies are now available. Developments in primary care in Latin and Anglo-American countries demonstrate, in the context of systemic family medicine, how the idea of the family approach can be enhanced through a systemic perspective, and specific competencies can be imparted in education and training. This article aims to contribute to the continuing education of general practitioners by presenting and discussing internationally validated and implemented family medicine tools and encourage development of systemic family medicine.
