<p>This study adapted the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities (DC) frameworks to explore how resources and capabilities influence effective Green Computing (GC) implementations in Ghanaian universities. The study employed a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey. Data was gathered from 133 Information technology and Information systems knowledge workers using stratified and purposive sampling approaches from private and public universities in Ghana. The data was analyzed with Smart PLS 4. The findings revealed that familiarity with GC concept is high. However, many viewed its relevance as minimal due to insufficient top management commitment to sustainability. In addition, effective GC implementation requires prioritizing resource allocation and strategic investment in them to be better positioned to lead their universities toward sustainability. The study recommends that university management must develop comprehensive GC plans with clear objectives and timelines for sustainable development and growth of the institutions.</p>
