Frontzahninfiltration bei Karies und Fluorose
摘要
Background: Infiltration is a microinvasive option to improve the appearance of vestibular so-called white spot lesions.
Objectives: The aim of this article is to describe the step-by-step clinical procedure of infiltration of caries and fluorosis in adolescent patients. This includes diagnosis, application of the infiltrant and follow-up.
Materials and methods: Scientific evidence and clinical cases were compiled to formulate specific recommendations for treatment protocols. Infiltration of postorthodontic caries lesions and fluorotic hypomineralizations was demonstrated using case studies.
Results: Scientific studies and the documented cases demonstrate that infiltration of caries and fluorosis can significantly reduce colour differences of the affected areas and improve aesthetics in many cases.
Conclusion: A careful approach to indications and an individual treatment plan are essential for achieving a successful masking effect by infiltration.
