Minimalinvasive Rehabilitation mit direkten Kompositrestaurationen bei einem 12-jährigen Jungen mit ektodermaler Dysplasie
摘要
In children and adolescents with hereditary dental malformations, such as ectodermal dysplasia, early diagnosis and age-appropriate therapy continuing into adulthood are crucial for the prognosis of the present teeth and the function of the masticatory system. The aim is to develop patient-specific and semi-permanent interdisciplinary treatment concepts for the rehabilitation of function and aesthetics, taking jaw growth into account, until definitive restoration is possible, including implant–prosthetic options. In the present case of a 12-year-old boy with ectodermal dysplasia, minimally invasive dental restorations with composite were performed to improve masticatory function and aesthetics. The latter is particularly important for adolescents in terms of their psychosocial development.
