摘要

Computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has been used in adult dental treatment for many years. In paediatric dentistry, however, it is a relatively new application. CAM composites, for example, are industrially manufactured, polymer-based composite materials that offer new treatment options for indirect single-tooth restorations. This article provides an overview of possible CAD/CAM technology applications in paediatric dentistry. Key aspects, such as indications and therapeutic procedures, are explained using clinical case studies that demonstrate how these digital procedures can be meaningfully integrated into everyday practice.
