<p>Chronic pain is common in geriatric patients due to age-related changes and multimorbidity, and can lead to immobility and loss of independence. Treatment is complex and requires tailored, multimodal pain therapy that combines pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches to maintain quality of life and independence. Particular attention is paid to accurate pain assessment, consideration of cognitive impairments, and the avoidance of interactions in case of polypharmacy. Adjuvant therapy with dronabinol is presented for complex cluster symptoms.</p>
