<p>The Austrian ambulance and emergency medical services are ineffective and disproportionately expensive. One reason for this is that paramedic training in Austria no longer meets the requirements of modern emergency care and lags behind international standards. The NOTFALLMEDIZIN Österreich platform is therefore urgently calling for an improvement in paramedic training and supports the idea of a&#xa0;multi-year vocational training programme.</p>
