Antibiotikatherapie schwerer Infektionen in der intensivmedizinischen Praxis
摘要
Sepsis and septic shock are two of the most common admission diagnoses in anaesthesiological intensive care units. In addition to diagnostics, septic focus rehabilitation and cardiovascular stabilisation, targeted antibiotic therapy is an important part of the successful treatment of bacterial infections. Inadequate or incorrect antibiotic therapy significantly increases mortality and morbidity. In addition to the pharmacodynamic/pharmacokinetic properties of the substance, the current severity of the clinical picture, the location of the infection and patient-related factors (age, previous illnesses, body mass index) play a decisive role in the selection and dosage of antibiotics. This article discusses some of the basic principles of clinically practical antibiotic therapy for severe bacterial infections.
