Abstract <p>Medical sensing technologies are rapidly transforming healthcare by enabling real-time, accurate monitoring, diagnostics and treatment. This review presents recent advancements and emerging trends in the field, with a focus on innovations that improve patient outcomes and clinical practices. Key developments in wearable sensors, implantable devices, point-of-care diagnostics and non-invasive sensing techniques are discussed in the context of continuous health monitoring, early disease detection and personalized medicine. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI), microfluidics and advanced biomaterials into sensing systems is also explored, emphasizing their potential to reshape the future of medical diagnostics and therapy. Furthermore, the review addresses on-going challenges, including sensor accuracy, regulatory compliance and data privacy.
