<p>Gynecological malignancy, particularly lethal of female fertile tumors, often leads to stage III and IV diagnoses, prompting an urgent investigation of alternative treatment options. Medicinal herbs, enriched with anticancer biomolecules, offer promising potential. This review explores specific herbs with potent phytochemicals demonstrated. To exhibit antiproliferative action in opposition to cells that are developing cancer in both cell culture and animal studies. Matrix metalloproteinase and urokinase plasminogen activators execute a major role in tumor migration and spreading. Furthermore, STAT3 (signal transducer and activator of transcription 3) is a protein that acts as a transcription factor and plays a role in signaling that is critical for ovarian cell progression, promoting cell proliferation, survival, invasion, angiogenesis, and chemoresistant. We identified botanical species exhibiting anti-ovarian cancer potential. These herbs and their phytochemicals suppress ovarian cancer cell growth, potentially inhibiting angiogenesis and triggering cell death (apoptosis) in OVCAR3 cancer cells. The secondary metabolites in these herbal extracts induce DNA damage and activate apoptosis-inducing enzymes, leading to significant tumor reduction in ovarian cancer cell lines and animal models. These findings suggest that medicinal herbs hold promise for treating ovarian cancer and warrant further research. Future research work focuses on the&#xa0;formulation and optimization of the plant extract conducted in vitro, in vivo, and clinical trials animal models to develop effective, safe, and potentially transformative therapies for ovarian cancer.</p>
