<p>Nanostructured lipid carriers represent a promising strategy for improving antifungal delivery, especially in superficial fungal infection and local cases.&#xa0;This review examines shortcomings in traditional topical antifungal agents, outlines host factors relevant to superficial mycoses, and then turns its attention toward potential drug delivery systems that can address challenges related both to poor skin permeation as well as unique features found within hosts susceptible to their infection. Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) offer novel contributions to antifungal drug delivery by enhancing drug stability, increasing bioavailability, and improving targeted delivery. They enable sustained and controlled release, reduce drug resistance, and minimize side effects, making them a promising approach to treating fungal infections more effectively. This review discusses different nanotechnology-based methods and their use for making the delivery of antifungal drugs, including liposomes and niosome microemulsion nanoemulsions. Nanogels of Metal Nanoparticles They provide better treatment outcomes due to high drug efficacy, enhanced tissue penetration, and improved pharmacokinetic profile in comparison with conventional forms. Through the use of nanoparticles&#xa0;and new aspects factored into these more advanced drug delivery systems, this could be an era where we start considering antifungal therapy a possibility for maximum efficacy with minimal adverse effect.</p>
