Nanobiosensors for Early Detection of Cancer: A Recent Update

Nanobiosensors offer a transformative solution in terms of both sensitivity and specificity over conventional methods for cancer diagnosis. Fortunately, they forerun with the lower limit of detection (LLOD) for multiple cancer biomarkers with real-time disease progeny and in targeted drug delivery systems. The development of nanobiosensor-based imaging methods enhances precise tumor localization and requires minimum invasive procedures with frequent monitoring. Their integration with imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET) enhances tumor localization precision, whereas their compatibility with minimally invasive procedures reduces patient stress and allows frequent monitoring. Furthermore, the convergence of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence has optimized the design and functionality of these sensors, improving diagnostic and therapeutic precision. As experimental and engineering techniques advance, nanobiosensors are poised to transition into clinically validated tests, offering a promising future in the fight against cancer by improving patient outcomes and quality of life through early detection and personalized treatment.
