摘要

The study focuses on developing La-doped hydroxyapatite and barium calcium titanate composite for bone tissue engineering. The researchers found that the composite exhibited enhanced osteoblast activities and anti-bacterial properties. Adding La to hydroxyapatite improved its biocompatibility and mechanical properties, while adding BCT enhanced its piezoelectric properties. The composite showed increased cell proliferation and osteogenic gene expression, indicating its potential for bone regeneration. Additionally, the LaHA-BCT specimen demonstrated antibacterial efficacy against S. aureus bacteria. The study suggests that the La-doped HA and BCT composite have promising applications in biomedical fields, such as implant and prosthetic systems.
