Assimilation of Zinc Metal Ion with Hydroxyapatite for Impedance Studies
摘要
The current study looks at the morphological and structural characteristics as well as the impedance analysis for various moles (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8) of zinc metal ions doped in hydroxyapatite. The samples for the pure and Zn-doped HAp are synthesized by the wet chemical precipitation method. The lattice parameters and particle size are identified using XRD. The average particle size ranges from 40 to 60 nm. The functional bands of PO, CO, and OH are analyzed through FTIR. The transmittance increases with the doping concentration of zinc. The average size of the particle is about 100 nm, and the morphology is needle-like in shape, which is identified through scanning electron microscopy. The elemental analysis of zinc, calcium, and phosphates is carried out by EDX. The molar ratio (Ca + Zn)/P is found to be nearly 1.67, and no other elements are identified from this study. The frequency dependence of the electric conductivity and dielectric properties are studied using impedance spectroscopy. The loss tangent increases with the doping concentration of zinc.
