<p>This study explores urban design strategies to enhance walkability in Al-Madinah, a significant site for Islamic pilgrimage. Using the MTAP (2011) framework, key elements such as linkage, imageability, and human scale are examined to assess their impact on pedestrian movement, safety, and experience. Findings emphasize the need for culturally resonant, walkable environments that balance Al-Madinah’s spiritual significance with urban functionality. By aligning modern urban planning with the city’s traditional context, the study offers insights for urban planners and policymakers to create sustainable, accessible spaces in religious tourism destinations, harmonizing heritage preservation with contemporary design.</p>
