Molybdenum-Aluminum boride for Q-switched pulse generation in Thulium/Holmium-Doped Fiber lasers
摘要
We demonstrated short laser pulses in Thulium/Holmium doped Fiber Lasers (THDFL) by integrating a max phase molybdenum aluminum boride (MoAIB) as a light absorber film. The film was synthesized using the casting method by incorporating MoAIB powder into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the host. The laser produced a pulse rate ranging from 29.92 kHz to 36.32 kHz with a wave duration of 6.87 µs to 2.71 µs using a 90:10 output coupler. The maximum output power was achieved at 6.2 mW with 170.70 nJ high pulse energy. To the author’s knowledge, MoAIB is achieved high energy and used for the first time in a 2 μm region.
