<p>This study presents a low-cost, IoT-based security system to address the limitations of conventional systems by providing immediate physical deterrence and intelligent remote monitoring. Utilizing a Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller, the system integrates a Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor, Light Emitting Diode (LED), buzzer, and ultrasonic sensor. Its novelty lies in a selective data transmission protocol, where distance measurements are relayed to the Blynk IoT app only when an object is within a 1-meter proximity, conserving resources and focusing user attention on critical events. This integration offers a comprehensive and efficient security solution for Smart City environments, combining instant threat response with actionable, real-time data.</p>
