Multi-faceted role of artificial intelligence (AI) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR): a narrative review
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the landscape of management and treatment of cardiac arrest, with the potential to significantly improve cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) outcomes. This narrative covers a thorough literature review of multi-faceted role of AI in early recognition, intervention and post resuscitation care of cardiac arrest patients. Using AI algorithms, precision and speed of diagnosis can be enhanced in order to enable healthcare professionals to come up with efficient intervention. AI-powered tools assist in delivering precise chest compressions, ventilation and defibrillation to improve survival rates, thereby complementing rather than replacing their efforts. In the future, it is expected that more AI tools will further enhance the effectiveness of timely diagnosis, and autonomous robots may be able to independently perform CPR. While these AI innovations hold great promise, there is a need of proper ethical guidelines to ensure their safe use, addressing concerns related to data security, privacy and clinical implementation. This review highlights the revolutionizing role of AI in cardiac care, pointing to future directions in research and clinical applications.
