<p>Critical personalism is not only a&#xa0;comprehensive philosophical system that interprets social and personal dimensions but also an academic discipline with significant implications for educational and developmental psychology. Within this framework, Clara Stern holds a&#xa0;prominent role, particularly in laying the foundation for personalistic pedagogy. Her contributions are exemplified in her anonymously published monograph <i>Aus einer Kinderstube. Tagebuchblätter einer Mutter</i>, which serves as a&#xa0;basis for deriving principles of personalistic pedagogy. This study not only analyzes pedagogical guidelines—rooted in Clara Stern’s child-rearing practices and observations—but also suggests foundational principles for future research within critical personalism. The theoretical insights contributing to a&#xa0;personalistic pedagogy include the following: an understanding of one’s own dynamic purpose system and its formative influence; the consolidation of dispositions of directionality and scaffolding in handling everyday and developmental challenges; the strengthening of the vital foundation of the child or adolescent; the acquisition of negotiation strategies for reconciling self- and foreign-purposes (introception); and the reinforcement of cognitive components of <i>Geborgenheit.</i> Finally, the implications of these findings for critical personalism are discussed, which lead to potential avenues for revision within the field.</p>

Critical personalism is not only a comprehensive philosophical system that interprets social and personal dimensions but also an academic discipline with significant implications for educational and developmental psychology. Within this framework, Clara Stern holds a prominent role, particularly in laying the foundation for personalistic pedagogy. Her contributions are exemplified in her anonymously published monograph Aus einer Kinderstube.
