Understanding the path from digital transformation to organizational performance through knowledge digitization, dynamic capabilities, and business model innovation
摘要
This study examines how digital transformation, knowledge digitization, dynamic capabilities, and government support relate to business model innovation and organizational performance in Vietnamese enterprises. Drawing on the resource-based view and institutional theory, we test a model using survey data from 408 managers and partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results indicate that digital transformation, knowledge digitization, and dynamic capabilities are positively related to business model innovation, while dynamic capabilities and government support are positively related to organizational performance. Knowledge digitization does not show a significant direct relationship with organizational performance. Business model innovation is positively related to organizational performance and mediates the relationships between digital transformation and organizational performance and between knowledge digitization and organizational performance. These findings suggest that organizational performance in an emerging economy context depends not only on digital resource development, but also on firms’ ability to reconfigure those resources and translate them into business model innovation under supportive institutional conditions.
