A Framework for Sustainable Entrepreneurial Project Management
摘要
The shift towards sustainable business practices calls for transforming organisations’ products, services, processes, policies, and resources. As primary drivers of change, projects should inherently integrate sustainability principles throughout their lifecycle. This sustainability-driven approach has given rise to sustainable project management, a key global trend embedding environmental, social, and economic considerations into project management. Despite its growth, a gap remains in understanding how project management and sustainability principles can be synergised to promote sustainable project benefits delivery practices. This paper addresses this gap by integrating sustainability elements and project management principles to develop a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Project Management (S-EPM) framework. The S-EPM framework underscores entrepreneurial strategies such as cadence, creativity, flexibility, innovativeness and risk-taking through the lens of sustainable development in advancing project management practice. This framework provides practitioners with a structured approach to embed sustainability throughout the project lifecycle, bridging entrepreneurship and contemporary project management. S-EPM aims to deliver immediate organisational value and contribute to long-term environmental and social outcomes.
