<p>Remanufacturing plays a crucial role in fostering a circular economy and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) owing to its considerable socio-environmental and economic benefits. However, its adoption in the circular economy faces significant challenges. This study identifies and evaluates key barriers to remanufacturing and corresponding solutions within the Indian Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sector. Using relevant literature and expert input, the barriers are ranked through the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP), while solutions intended to mitigate these barriers are prioritized using the Fuzzy Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS). The findings highlight management-related issues, particularly the lack of top-level commitment, as the most critical barrier. The suggested solutions, notably cross-functional collaboration (S8), target critical barriers such as the high costs of transitioning from a linear to a circular economy (FB1) and other related barriers. The study’s main limitation is the use of Judgmental sampling for expert selection. Nonetheless, the study contributes to the scarce literature on circular economy by prioritizing solutions to overcome the remanufacturing barriers in the LCV Manufacturing sector.</p>
