<p>Research continues to demonstrate that the women in Bangladesh are facing harassment during the medical process after being victims of rape. The current medical process is discriminatory and does not protect victims’ safety, confidentiality, and ethical issues. This paper identifies the challenges that victims of rape face during the medical procedure. I employed Foucault’s concept of medical gaze as the theoretical lens to uncover how the gaze is imposed upon the victims in the medical process. Discussion also show that the current medical process has significant gaps and limitations in treating women after victimization.</p>
