This review provides a basis for developing innovative solutions in the clean-label starch industry, promoting new opportunities for more sustainable and functional food processing.</p> Recent Findings <p>Non-thermal technologies such as PEF, US, and HPP have demonstrated higher efficiency, reduced times, and lower environmental impact than thermal methods. However, the level of purity and industrial adoption remains limited by the lack of scalable equipment. Optimization of these systems is needed to facilitate their integration into large-scale production.</p> Summary <p>Despite non-thermal extractions represent a sustainable alternative for valuable starch recovery they face challenges in scalability, regulation, and economic viability. Future research should focus on parameter optimization, hybrid technologies, and process automation. This review provides an updated overview of the sustainable recovery of clean-label starches and their potential applications in the food industry.</p>

This review provides a basis for developing innovative solutions in the clean-label starch industry, promoting new opportunities for more sustainable and functional food processing.

Recent Findings

Non-thermal technologies such as PEF, US, and HPP have demonstrated higher efficiency, reduced times, and lower environmental impact than thermal methods.
