Purpose of Review <p>Packaging materials with attached sensors are known as Smart packagings are used for foods, pharmaceuticals, and many other types of products. It is applied to check freshness, show status of quality, and modify food stuff to enhance customer safety, and longer shelf life of products. Smart/intelligent packaging is an emerging and new technology, competent to observe the superiority and security of food throughout its storage.</p> Recent Finding <p>In this technology indicator, sensors are used in packagings which recognize alteration in physical appearance of foods because of chemical or biochemical deterioration. These sensors generally monitor the status of packed foods freshness, by altering the color that simply recognized by the supplier as well as by the customer.</p> Summary <p>Indicators presently used are neither reusable nor biodegradable artificial substances. Therefore, our objective was to incorporate the most recent information on biosensors which performs as smart food packaging.</p>
