摘要

In this dynamic era of tourism, understanding tourist decision-making is crucial for optimizing the travel experience and promoting sustainable tourism practices. Nudge is a theoretical concept of behavioral economics and related behavioral sciences that closely examines individuals’ and groups’ decision-making environments and behavior. The primary objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive and insightful analysis of tourism, nudge, and decision-making. This study adopts a hybrid approach and conducts an extensive bibliometric and content analysis incorporating the Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews (SPAR-4-SLR) protocol and Theory, Context, Characteristics, and Methods (TCCM) framework to probe into the field and explain the nexus of nudge, tourism, and decision-making post COVID-19, i.e., from 2020 to 2024. This study elucidates the influential articles, recognized authors, prominent institutions, publication sources, and key thematic research clusters that have had a substantial impact. The TCCM framework is used to construct an all-encompassing framework that reveals six significant theoretical domains. These domains encompass theories of decision-making, social and cultural influences, economics, behavioral theories, tech-driven tourism-specific theories, and sustainability-related theories. Overall, the analyses in this study demonstrate that research in the study area has evolved into a multidisciplinary, theoretically diverse field. Finally, the study concludes with implications, limitations, and future research endeavors.
