Exploring success factors of microentrepreneurs: a hybrid SEM-ANN approach
摘要
This study aims to explore the critical success factors influencing microentrepreneurs in Indonesia. A hybrid methodological approach was adopted, combining Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). Data were collected from 1,043 TKMP participants through a structured questionnaire. Results indicate that microentrepreneurs characteristics and social and environmental factors are the most significant predictors of the success of microentrepreneurs. While mentorship quality and training methods were well-performed in implementation, their statistical impact on the success of microentrepreneurs was minimal. The ANN model outperformed PLS-SEM, explaining 99.28% of the variance in business success versus 54.64%.
