<p>The objective of this research is to examine the relevance of a recently developed idea called “green talent management,” or talent management, and how it affects workers’ creative work practices. Additionally, the study will look at the moderating effects of artificial intelligence and transactional leadership in the context of higher education. Using WarpPLS (8.0), partial least square structural equation modeling was used to evaluate data from 470 designed questionnaires that were given to teaching staff members at ten universities in Pakistan. The current research paper shows that green hard talent management and green soft talent management significantly affects workers’ creative work practices. It has also been established that artificial intelligence and transactional leadership significantly influence workers’ creative work practices. Additionally, the study discovered that artificial intelligence and transactional leadership significantly modify the association between green hard talent management and innovative work behavior among employees. This paper offers practical and theoretical contributions of its results that will help higher education leaders take advantage of green talent management’s potential to motivate their staff to work innovatively in order to gain a sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.</p>
