Influence of the techniques of neurolinguistic programming on transformational leadership in smes of Metropolitan Lima
摘要
The objective of the research was to appraise the impact of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) on the transformational leadership style in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Metropolitan Lima, Peru. In this cross-sectional study using deductive logic and causal process, we asked whether specific NLP techniques were associated with transformational leadership. Our theoretical framework was based on the NLP and the transformational leadership variable. Graduates of an NLP course (n = 224) at three universities, who were also employees at an SME in Lima, participated in the study. The comprehensive questionnaire comprised 34 questions about NLP techniques, and transformational leadership. The results of the study showed that “the practice of NLP”, “Pacing and Leading” and “Smart and Score” techniques positively and significantly influence transformational leadership.
