<p>Tackling food insecurity remains a global priority; however, hunger in Sub-Saharan African countries, including Ghana, has increased in recent estimates. To fully understand how to reduce food insecurity, it is important to assess the role of infrastructure, climate, and household socioeconomic factors in explaining food production and access. In this study, we use the Ghana Living Standards Survey 7 to examine the association between household food insecurity levels and public infrastructure, climatic conditions, and socioeconomic factors in Ghana. Our results show that high income, access to electricity, availability of financial institutions, and education play a critical role in reducing food insecurity in Ghana. The results suggest that public infrastructure may reduce food insecurity, underscoring the need for governments to prioritize their development and maintenance.</p>
