<p><i>Political culture</i> influences the macro- and micro-level issues of all public, private, and legal actors, ranging from international relations to the individual level; this makes political culture a valuable field of academic study. This study aims to identify the contexts and focal points in which the concept of political culture has been examined in the literature, and thus to determine how recent global socio-political developments in world history have shaped research in this field. In this context, the research specifically focuses on the socio-political and conjunctural aspects of political culture, particularly the dynamics of harmony, conflict, and memory. The study employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative assessment of theoretical arguments with quantitative methodologies, such as text mining and bibliometric analysis. The six main themes selected as the sample for the data analysis were derived from a literature review of the intersection of global events prominent in the political culture literature and the socio-political ruptures that have shaped recent history, and were subsequently operationalized using MAXQDA software. Based on the derived thematic frameworks, bibliometric maps and visualizations were created and interpreted using VOSviewer and R software. The resulting maps are consistent with the thematic structures, and meaningful patterns were identified across all categories organized by period and theme. The findings support the study’s research question and hypothesis, suggesting that the prominence of global events on the relevant literature fluctuates over time and presents a dynamic, multidimensional framework through relationships that range from limited to intense. Consequently, the findings suggest that studies of political culture are closely associated with practical and conjunctural developments.</p>
